A fingerprint scanner system has two jobs, which take pictures of your fingerprint, and decide whether the flow pattern of the fingerprint image taken from the same flow patterns in the fingerprint database. There are several ways to take a person's fingerprint image, but one of the most widely used methods today are optical scanning.
The core of the optical scanner is a charge coupled device (CCD), the same light sensor system used in digital cameras and camcorders. CCD is a simple array of light sensitive diodes called photosite, which produces an electrical signal that responds to photons of light. Each photosite records a pixel, which represents a small point of light and membenturnya. These pixels form a pattern of bright and dark picture of a person's fingerprint scans.
The scanning process began when you put your finger on a glass plate and a CCD camera takes a picture. The scanner has its own light source, usually in the form of array light emitting diodes (LEDs) to illuminate the flow of your fingerprint. CCD system produces an inverted finger image, darker areas representing more reflected light (the back of the fingerprint grooves), and the lighter areas representing less reflected light (the valleys of the fingerprint grooves).
Before comparing the picture which has just been taken with the data that has been stored, the scanner processor ensures that the CCD has taken a clear picture by checking the average pixel darkness, and will reject the results of the scan if the resulting image is too dark or too bright. If the image is rejected, the scanner will set the exposure time, then try shooting again.
If the darkness level is adequate, the scanner system continue checking the image definition, in example how sharp the fingerprint scan. Processor noticed some straight line that ran horizontally and vertically. If the definition of qualified fingerprint image, a vertical line that runs will be made on the part of the darkest pixel and the brightest. If the fingerprint image produced is really sharp and has good brightness, then the processor will compare it with the existing fingerprint images in the database.
The result can be known within a very short time. You're really employees of the company or the messengers alias jockey. Are you really the owner of the notebook, or information thief.
